Diversity Week 2023

On the week beginning 05/06/23 LPS celebrated diversity week with many activities such as 

  • Incorporating diversity into lessons
  • Creating artwork around the subject of diversity
  • A presentation delivered by Just Like Us, an LGBT+ young peoples charity to teach the students about the importance of diversity, some common misconceptions, some vocabulary such as pronouns and what they mean. The presenters also spoke about their own stories and experiences, students and staff were also given the oppurtunity to ask questions.
  • We ended the week with an achievement assembly, giving out certificates and prizes for students who completed "outstanding" pieces of work throughout the week.
