Leicester Partnership School recently had a visit from a couple of members of the Tellmi team. They gave a presentation to raise awareness about what Tellmi is, and the services and support they offer to people of all age ages. Tellmi provides safe, confidential and free advice and support, including text based therapy. A few of our KS3 students were then invited to explore the Tellmi platform, and how to better support their peers.
From the Tellmi website, here's a bit more about them.
Tellmi is a British Social Enterprise which launched in 2017. Formerly known as MeeToo, Tellmi is successfully addressing the mental health crisis and tackling health inequalities for young people.
Founded by psychologist Suzi Godson PhD and engineer Kerstyn Comley PhD, Tellmi’s unique approach combines pre-moderated peer support and preemptive counsellor intervention to provide young people with easy access to the appropriate level of support. It is one of the few digital platforms available for NHS commissioning where young people can safely connect with age-banded peers to share their experiences, advice, and information.
A pioneering force in the digital peer support space, Tellmi has now safely supported 90,000+ young people.
