Mental Health Awareness Week

This week is mental health awareness week with the theme being around Mental Resilience and Loneliness.

Throughout the week there has been a specific focus in the majority of lessons around the subject of mental health. To further support the week there have been additional activities for some students to get involved in. These activities include:


  • Yoga
  • Mindfulness
  • Drumming Circles
  • Gong Bath


There is a lot of research and evidence that supports these activities can help in the following areas:


  • Emotional Regulation
  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Memory
  • Cognition
  • Physical Health


On Thursday 19th May, we had an assembly delivered by CAMHS and the adverse children's team on the subject of mental health awareness and the many different types of support available.
